The board and staff of the Young Professionals Choral Collective (YPCC) announces this week that Jenny Spring has been named the next Executive Director of the organization. Jenny began with YPCC on Thursday, November 3, 2021. No stranger to YPCC, Spring joined YPCC in 2011 and was one of the original Choir Managers. She joins the organization just in time for YPCC’s 10th Season and Fall Concert, From Darkness Into Light, on Wednesday, November 10, at Memorial Hall.
Since its inception in 2011, YPCC has grown to become an essential young professional group in the arts community of Cincinnati. “It is an honor to be tapped to lead this organization. I've been involved with YPCC for a decade as a singer, volunteer, supporter, and as the former Chorus Manager. I know YPCC, I love YPCC, and I can't wait to get to work with Artistic Director Danielle Cozart Steele to take our organization to the next level," says Spring.
Spring will work closely with Cozart Steele, as well as the rest of the dedicated YPCC staff, singers, and volunteers. “Jenny is a dynamic woman who brings a real passion for YPCC singers and the city of Cincinnati. She’s full of energy and optimism, pays attention to matters of equity and inclusion, and I’m delighted to have two strong women at the helm of this organization,” remarks Cozart Steele.
Today’s announcement concludes a two-month search, with the search committee chaired by Joe Stephens, and participation from YPCC’s board led by President Matthew Heston, and staff. “I’m so excited that Jenny Spring is going to be rejoining YPCC as its Executive Director,” says Stephens. “Her blend of genuine enthusiasm and relevant skills and experience is exactly what YPCC needs to continue the trajectory that has seen YPCC grow from a local passion project in OTR 10 years ago to a thriving nonprofit organization of more than 1,200 singers. We’ve come a long way, and with Jenny serving as Executive Director, the sky’s the limit.” Heston reflects: “YPCC is thrilled to welcome Jenny Spring to the role of Executive Director. Jenny has strong institutional knowledge of the organization; a track record of managing event bookings and people; and a collaborative, inclusive spirit."
